Romanian bargain car brand Dacia has for the first time made an appearance on Britain’s televisions with a cool ad titled “Hello. We’re Dacia.”
The three models on sale in the land of RHD, the Sandero, Stepway and Duster, made their appearance on ITV1 last night as the FA Cup was being broadcast.
Dacia UK says that, “like its products, Dacia’s advertising centres around a no-nonsense approach. “We don’t do frivolity,” actor Ralph Ineson says in the opening sequence, in his well-known no-nonsense manner, made famous in hit comedy The Office, as he introduces the three-pronged Dacia attacking line-up.”
But even the very serious Dacia cars like to cut loose and let their hair down. So the ad show the Stepway having its share of fun in the sun. “Because,”Ralph goes on to say in his thick Yorkshire accent, “research suggests a touch of frivolity might make a car more appealing.”
