The Chevrolet Chevy II – or Nova – was one of the smallest automobiles produced by the General Motors subsidiary and lived a not-so-quite-and-peaceful life between 1962 and 1979, then again from 1985 to 1989.
Of course, the fifth generation is something other than diehard Chevrolet fans would like to remember, as the Nova nameplate was resurrected with help from Toyota through GM and the Japanese automaker's NUMMI (New United Motor Manufacturing, located in Fremont, California, between 1985 and 1989, and it wasn't an American vehicle anymore but rather an S-based car that had more in common with the Japan-based Toyota Sprinter than anything else.

Instead, Chevy enthusiasts would instead remember a lot more fondly about the original from 1962, the short-lived second generation of 1966 and 1967, or – most prominently – the glorious third generation that lived from 1968 to 1974. That's when all the best things happened to the Nova, like the Super Sport, Rally Nova, or Yenko Novas, to give you just a few examples.

However, that doesn't mean folks can't fall in love with other variants from yesteryear. Besides, the offer of Novas is quite vast and enticing – you can have examples that look like they just went through the Third World War and others that feel like it's the 1960s all over again and the Nova just went out the factory gates. Alas, there are also those who would gladly blend the classic spirit of the Chevy Nova with contemporary styling and technology.

The Chevy Nova examples out there are quite numerous, so DIY or heavy-build projects are easy to come by. But what if you don't have an idea about the looks of your prized possession? No worries, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators can always lend a helping hand because there are a lot of talented pixel masters who will envision an entire project for the customer way before work even starts.

For example, Emmanuel Brito, the virtual artist better known as personalizatuauto on social media, takes us on an entirely new journey of CGI discovery to the Nova max! This author is used to cooking up previsualizations of projects for numerous aftermarket outlets, and he is particularly interested in the golden age of American muscle cars and whatnot. As such, he sometimes dreams of projects that aren't planned yet, just for the love of the digital restomod game.

But there is no need to take our word for granted, as we have an eloquent example to showcase – a 1966 Chevrolet Nova that was virtually reborn into a showstopper. The coordinates are simple yet mesmerizing: the Nova gets dressed in Pearl White all over and features Rose Gold accents on the hood, radiator grille, and LED headlight surrounds, the engine parts, its fresh deep-dish BBS-style wheels, LED taillight surrounds, and even the central dual exhaust tips.

So far so good, right? Well, it gets even better as the pixel master envisions the 1966 Chevy Nova restomod project as a slammed muscle car that also has subtle widebody fender flares and aerodynamic add-ons dressed in exposed carbon fiber plus a nice set of red Brembo brake calipers to bode well for the cross-drilled rotors. Last but not least, the CGI expert also envisioned the Nova restomod with one final touch of extravaganza – the transparent acrylic section of the hood shows off a magnificent, Rose Gold-dressed V8 assembly!
