Although Chevrolet still lists the 2024 Camaro starting from $31k on its Performance tab in the official online configurator, we all know the truth – this beloved pony and muscle car nameplate is dead and buried, at least for the time being.
General Motors made sure of that late last year when, in December, the automaker produced the final Camaro Coupe (Convertibles ceased manufacturing in November), a 650-hp ZL1 variant, of course. The Chevy fans weren't alone in weeping over the premature departure of the sixth-generation Camaro, which currently is in limbo and without an announced successor.

Mopar enthusiasts were also saddened by the news of Dodge's dismissal of the 2023 Challenger and Charger, with only the latter getting a revamp later this year on an entirely new architecture (STLA Large) and packing EV powertrains for the Charger Daytona model or Hurricane inline-six options for the ICE-powered variants, according to the rumor mill.

Alone, the all-new S650 seventh-generation 2024 Ford Mustang soldiers on in fastback coupe and Convertible form with EcoBoost and Coyote V8 power under the hood. But what if GM allowed Chevrolet to have one last go at fulfilling everyone's dreams of getting a proper muscle car from the company? Well, if that's not going to happen in the real world, nothing stops the imaginative realm of digital car content creators from trying to fulfill these sweet (burnout) dreams.

In fact, some folks try harder than others. For example, Jim, the virtual artist known as jlord8 on social media, has just restarted his meddling of all things GM - especially Chevy – after he previously envisioned quirky stuff like a Volvo-based Mazda9 Estate, a Tesla Model S Plaid Wagon and Ford Explorer ST Wagon, or a Tacoma-based Subaru Baja revival, among many others.

Now it seems that he suddenly remembered that a while back, he cooked a couple of perfect heirs for the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro – the ZL1 transformed into a reborn Chevy Camaro IROC-Z (L1) and packing the T-Tops plus the modern 6.2-liter supercharged V8 inside the engine bay of a neo-retro modernized coupe. Initially, that was the cue, but upon popular request, he added the T-Tops option that was originally missing in CGI action and then also morphed the assembly into a resurrected Monte Carlo.

On this occasion, though, he wanted the unofficial design project to come even closer to the looks of the fourth-generation Monte Carlo (1981-1988), especially the SS version, which was reintroduced in 1983. More than four decades later, the styling of the 1980s was not yet out of fashion when a pixel master intervened, so there were a lot of fans who not only didn't hate this transformation but also chose the most recent crimson variant over the initial white ones!
