Offered since 2017, the Lexus LC is a two-door fastback coupe and convertible based on the TNGA-L version of Toyota's modular platform. Meanwhile, the Porsche 911 has eight generations under its belt, and all of them are rear-biased models, unlike the Japanese GT.
The Lexus LC is offered in two flavors – with the same 5.0-liter 2UR-GSE V8 engine shared with the RC F and GS F models but with subtly more power (471 hp) or a hybrid version motivated by the smaller 3.5-liter 8GR-FXS V6 engine and electricity with a combined output of 354 horsepower. The Porsche 911, on the other hand, has the 992 generations rocking a 3.0-liter, 3.7L, or 4.0-liter twin-turbo or naturally aspirated flat-six boxer mill, depending on the version.

The German sports car also offers more choice than the LC 500 or 500h coupe or convertible because it can be had with countless variations and also a Targa version. Also, its layout allows for the use of AWD, while the Lexus is only RWD. So, it is no wonder that although they both can be labeled as sports cars, they are also like apples and oranges when it comes to fruits.

However, not everyone thinks the same. For example, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has recently seen a visionary pixel master think that a Lexus LC 500 and Porsche 911 Turbo belong together in the same CGI story. Evrim Ozgun, a Turkish virtual automotive designer, has decided to compare two cars that are like apples and oranges but might one day duke it out, nevertheless. Of course, it will be hard to get past the wishful thinking feeling, frankly, given the level of modifications.

Indeed, this CGI expert not only helped himself to a couple of Porsche 911 Turbo and Lexus LC 500 digital models but also envisioned them with lots and lots of modifications. First and foremost, they're both refreshed from a styling point of view, but that might be the least of everyone's concerns. Instead, the facelifts disappear behind the ultra-widebody aerodynamic kits, the concave black-matching aftermarket wheels, and the exposed carbon fiber elements.

So, what do you think? Should Lexus and Porsche take notes and showcase refreshed LC 500 and 911 Turbo models with these subtle updates? After that, should the aftermarket realm prepare these wild body kits and slam them so hard that even ants would fear for their life? Anyway, one thing is for sure. We already know that Porsche is diligently preparing a facelift for the 911 series – but don't expect anything fancy because the German sports car maker usually likes to keep it simple with these upgrades. As for Lexus, who knows if they will refresh the LC or kill it off altogether because of slowing sales?
