Now that the eight generation Corvette is just a couple of months away from hitting the road, a new era for the iconic American sports car is about to begin. One centered around a mid-engine layout, both left- and right-hand drive versions for the first time, and the greatest rift in design from what some of us still consider to be the quintessential Vette.
We’re talking about the C3, the variant of the nameplate manufactured between 1968 and 1982. The one that introduced for the first time T-top removable roof panels, or the LT-1, ZR-1, Z07 monikers. The one that was the first in its family to be used as a Pace Car during the Indianapolis 500 race.

Luckily, there are still plenty of C3s to go around these days. Unfortunately, most of them are no longer their former shining selves, having aged in neglect. Every now and then though, one pops up in such a good condition that it’s worth a closer look, and also shows that there are still people out there who care about their cars.

Specialized website Classic Cars is currently listing a C3 from 1974, painted in the whitest Classic White we’ve seen in a while, and looking so clean that it’s like it just left the assembly lines.

The car is powered by that time’s L-48 V8 engine that linked to an automatic transmission develops 350 hp. The interior is the one Chevy called Saddle, there are factory-fitted technologies like air conditioning, power steering, power windows, and radio.

Although it looks as new in the photos above, the car does have its small share of chips and scratches. Also, the original bumpers were replaced with fiberglass ones, and the entire car went through a repaint a while back. Despite these minor inconveniences, the seller hopes to fetch $17,990 for it.

You can head over to the official listing for more details.
