Citroen is currently working on a rival for the Fiat 500, with the French carmaker set to give us the new model, which will be the entry-level car to its DS range in 2013, as Autobild writes.
The Citroen DS1 will use the next generation of the C1 as a starting point and will measure about 3.6 meters (11.8 feet) in length. As Citroen has accustomed us, it will come with a multitude of special styling cues and we’re also expecting a plush cabin, which could use digital instruments.
Under the hood, we should get a three-cylinder engine family coming from BMW. The petrol units are expected to offer between 68 and 100 hp, and we’ll also get a 70 hp oil burner. In addition to that, Citroen could also give us a hot version (a warm one actually), which should deliver around 130 hp.
