When you think about buying a new car that won't break the bank, probably a compact sedan is a high priority on the list if you don't need a CUV's space for a big family or many outdoor adventures and instead treasure classic styling, affordability, and practicality plus low mileage.
Then, of course, you need to develop a short list that will include some of the best nameplates currently on the market. Naturally, that means any proper comparison also includes two Japanese stalwarts – Toyota's Corolla and Honda's Civic, both usually towering above rivals like the Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Versa, VW Jetta, Kia Forte, and Mazda3, just to name a few.

However, when trying to select between the two, it becomes a lot harder. When looking at the Honda Civic, the Japanese automaker only offers the sedan, hatchback, Si, and Type R versions. Still, Toyota makes it even more difficult because you can select the Corolla sedan, Hybrid, Hatchback, and GR Corolla, plus the Corolla Nightshade editions.

Anyway, a decision needs to be taken… or not? Maybe it's best to avoid any rushed conclusion and see what comes next for both models. And if you don't mind a flight of fancy, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators strongly believes that good things are coming soon for both storied nameplates.

According to the good folks over at the Q Cars channel on YouTube, who aim to daze and amaze the audience with the potential styling of their vision for the next Corolla, Toyota will soon propose the thirteenth generation of the best-selling compact car. And suppose we are to take their resident pixel master's vision for granted (first video embedded below). In that case, it will be a minimalist, stylish sedan with sleek headlights and a new full-width LED band treatment for the taillights.

No worries; there are alternatives if you don't like that dream. For example, another channel on YouTube – dubbed AutomagzTV – has a more distinctive vision (it's the second video embedded below) where the Corolla exaggerates its JDM atmosphere with a low-slung attitude, body aerodynamics, and big wheels plus gold-colored accents. This, too, is probably enabled with some sort of AI assistance, so do take both design projects with a grain of salt.

Last but not least, not long ago, PoloTo, a distinctively-named automotive news video channel on YouTube - and they also share visions of new models created with assistance from AI – was preoccupied with the looks of the leading Toyota Corolla rival – the 2025 Honda Civic. Their dream, however, is even harder to believe because the Japanese automaker just introduced the eleventh generation Civic for the 2021 model year – so, at most, the company will only refresh the 2025MY rather than going for a complete redesign! So, which is your favorite?
