Caterham have just released a teaser for an upcoming car, regarding which, they say that “Britain’s most exciting racing series just became supercharged.” It is expected to be the next step up over the R300 model, which currently puts out 175 hp, from its Ford-sourced 2.0-liter naturally-aspirated unit.
The teaser also shows the upcoming car as having racing slicks equipped, so we would expect it to be considerably faster than the R300, which does 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, before topping out at 200 km/h (124 mph). The model is also touted as being a more comfortable offering which will even feature a luxury which had not found its way into any recent Caterham models - a proper roof.
According to the teaser, the car will be unveiled in October, so we don’t have too long to wait for it! Also, being Caterham, our expectations are predictably high.
