The 2011 Mercedes Benz E-Klasse is already an emotionally charged and aesthetically pleasing car, especially in the Cabriolet form. However, that hasn’t stopped the tuning gurus at Carlsson from bringing extra sparkle and shine for those who want to serve their open-top experience with a bit of awesome-sauce.

With 20 percent more power, the new aerodynamic package and the fine interiors, Carlsson wants its customers to travel on a whole different level of comfort and speed then normal E-Klasse owners.

The main focus of the conversion is the additional ECU C-Tronic DIESEL POWER, which is a plug-and-play solution that enhances the performance of the V6 diesel engine by more than 20 percent. Thus, power is increased from 231 hp (170 kW) to 280 hp (206 kW), while the optimized engine management also has an effect on the maximum torque - instead of 540 Nm (398 lb-ft), the driver now has 648 Nm (478 lb-ft) to play with. This should make cruising and overtaking more effortless than ever. The upgrade is delivered as a completely retrofittable solution at a total price of €1,784 including VAT.

Added ‘wow’ factor can be obtained by purchasing the sport end mufflers with the two double-walled stainless steel end tubes, available for a total of €2,319.

The exterior program highlight is the addition of specially-designed alloy wheels, ranging from the classic sixteen spoke wheel 1/16 in 18 inches through the trendy double colored design 1/5 REVO to the high end cast wheels 1/10 Ultra Light in 20 inches, which combine low weight with the highest load bearing capacity. Available as a complete wheel set with top brand tires the packages start from €2,712.

Interior changes include automatic gear shift lever in leather and Alcantara (€213), aluminum door pins (€58), soft velvet doormats with the Carlsson logo (set available for €154) and the aluminum pedals together with footrests (€282).
