The German aftermarket developer Carlsson is offering us a preview of a tuning kit for the brand new 2011 Mercedes CLS, with the package scheduled to debut in March next year, at the Geneva Auto Show. The tuner has targeted both the petrol and diesel engines of the four-door coupe.

The CLS 350 CGI model, which delivers 306 hp and 370 Nm of torque when it leaves the factory, has been boosted to 333 hp and 410 Nm. This allows the vehicle to complete the 0 to 62 mph sprint in 5.9 seconds (the stock version needs 6.1 seconds for the job).

In addition to that, the CLS 350 CDI, which comes with a factory stock output of 265 hp and 650 Nm, now produces 320 hp and 780 Nm of torque. The car’s 0 to 62 mph time was cut from 6.2 to 5.9 seconds.

Carlsson has also tweaked the suspension, installing a C-Tronic pack for the Airmatic (air suspension) models. This is a lowering system that brings the vehicle 30 mm closer to the road, adapting to the driving conditions.

The CLS uses Carlsson CR1/10 rims that come in a 19- or 20-inch size. Customer can can choose between three wheel colors: Titanium Silver, Brilliant Silver and Graphite Grey.

The car wears an aerodynamic package that comes with certain carbon fiber components. The kit includes a new front apron, mudguard inserts, a power dome for the hood, side skirts with air intakes, a rear bumper that houses a diffuser. The tuner also offer a stainless steel rear silencer with two oval tailpipes.

As for the interior, this has received an Alcantara sports steering wheel, brushed aluminum pedals and foot rest, velours floor mats with a matching boot mat.
