Carlsson’s system uses a plug adapter that is mounted between the engine control unit and the engine wiring loom, with the kit being easy to install and remove.

The C-Tronic Diesel Power performance upgrade is available for the 280, 300, 320 and 350 CDI engines mounted on the C-Klasse, CLK-Klasse, E-Klasse, CLS, S-Klasse, GLK, ML, as well as for the Vito and Viano vans. The upgrade can be your for EUR1,779.

"For example, the C-Tronic reduces power during gear changes in such a way that the driver doesn’t notice the difference, thereby preserving the clutch and shielding the automatic gearbox from excess wear,
” explained the press release.
