We’ll remind you that the stratospheric creation made its debut at this year’s edition of the Geneva Auto Show, with the vehicle’s level of refinement and aggression instantly capturing the imagination of the public. The vehicle is such a stunning piece of tuning that it also managed to conquer the hearts of those who don’t necessarily fall into the aftermarket enthusiasts category.
It's also worth mentioning that the project uses the Mercedes-Benz SL as a base, so the vehicle is powered by a V12 bi-turbo powerplant that allows the driver to play with 753 hp and 1,150 Nm (the engine actually delivers a peak torque of 1,320 Nm, but this has been limited).
The beast manages to leave the 62 mph mark behind in 3.7 seconds and, if the driver chooses to keep playing, can hit a top speed of 352 km/h (218.6 mph).
However, the thing that makes the vehicle so interesting is the fact that it is a refined, streetable ride.
Here’s how the company’s CEO, Markus Schuster, describes the magic behind the vehicle: “There are more than enough super sports car in this world which can only be safely driven on a race track”, says Markus Schuster. “Therefore, we deliberately wanted to develop a car which is highly exclusive on the one hand and can be used for the daily journey to office on the other hand.“
Carlsson will also display other aftermarket good at the event, including the CK63 RS, a 600-hp project based on the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.
