We'll try to be extra careful when using aggressive metaphors to describe muscle cars from now on, at least when it comes to the Dodge Challenger. That's our conclusion after learning a car salesman was kidnapped at gunpoint during a test drive involving a Challenger 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker.
The action took place on Monday, at the Gillman Chrysler showroom in Houston, TX. The salesman in question, 22-year-old Jose Martinez, fulfilled a customer's request to test drive the Mopar machine mentioned above.

According to ABC-13, which spoke to Martinez less than 24 hours after the man's ordeal, Jose noticed another vehicle following the Challenger.

Once they were on the road, the driver pulled over and attacked the salesman. Soon after that, the car following them stopped, and two people got out of it and joined the fight.

Jose was eventually immobilized and thrown in the trunk of the Dodge, but the attackers overlooked the fact that he had his iPhone on him.

The man used the phone to call the police and give them a description of the now-stolen Challenger, while also setting up the "Find my iPhone" tracking app.

Once the driver stopped, the salesman opened the trunk using the release hatch, only to find two of the kidnappers waiting for him with a gun.

Jose grabbed the weapon and shot one of the attackers in the neck, but explains he didn't manage to get a good look at their faces.

"Tall black guys. I didn't get to see the other guy who was driving. He was like 6'5" and skinny," the man explains.

The attackers then pulled off, leaving Jose on the highway. However, with his phone still inside the vehicle, police used the tracking app to track down the suspects.

Once the officers managed to catch up with the suspects, a chase ensued. The pursuit ended with the Challenger hitting a postal truck. The suspects fled the scene on foot.

While the police have reportedly made no arrests so far, Jose did photocopy the license of the man who requested the test drive, so we expect this case to be solved soon.
