It's all fun and games at the local drag strip until a cat out of hell lines up at the start line. But you can be the owner of that extreme muscle car, which can put real blue-blooded models in their corner on a good day.
Sure, Dodge may have ended production of the Challenger and Charger at the end of 2023, but multiple barely-driven examples are listed for grabs at any given moment. We just found one that we think is worth a closer look, as it has barely seen any action and is not overpriced.

Part of the Stellantis-owned brand's Last Call series, which sent off the aging muscle car that was made from 2008 to 2023, with multiple upgrades over the years, it is a 2023 Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak. It has a single owner in the papers and only 271 miles (436 km) under its belt, and that makes it a great proposal, this writer thinks.

All Hellcats (and not only) pack the phenomenal 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine under their hoods. In this case, it produces 717 horsepower (727 ps/535 kW) at 6,000 rpm, delivered to the rear axle through an eight-speed auto ‘box. It takes in the low-3s to push to 60 mph (97 kph), and it is usually an 11-second car. However, it's not uncommon to fall into the 10s, so it is a force to be reckoned with.

What else would you need to know about this copy? It has a red exterior finish with black on the hood, roof, and trunk lid, a touch of yellow on the front lip spoiler, black alloys with red brake calipers visible from behind, and a black interior that mixes leather and suede and boasts the SRT logo here and there. It’s a brand-new vehicle, as we already told you, so there's no wear and tear.

Besides the muscle car, which is ready to hit the drag strip and inject a healthy dose of adrenaline into its occupants every time the driver pushes the right pedal to the metal, its next owner will also get the usual lecture and the original window sticker. But how much does it cost to have your name written on the dotted line? That would be $119,900.

Yep, it's not a bargain, but in today's (still crazy) used car market, it is priced accordingly. When the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody Jailbreak was still in the making, the company used to ask for at least $82,690 for it. Mind you, that was before destination and dealer fees, so realistically speaking, it easily fell into the six-digit category. But if you were on a similar budget and searching for a fun car, would you buy this one, which is advertised by Garage Kept Motors?
