Have you missed your chance to buy a brand-new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 from the S550 generation of the Dearborn company's muscle car? Well, you're in luck, as we just found a brand-new copy that has only a few miles under its belt and a single owner in the papers.
We all know why they purchased it and that it was to sell it for a profit, most likely. Otherwise, it would've clocked more than 91 miles (146 km) in the two years since it left the assembly line. But it is what it is, so you're looking at a new copy that's trying to find a new home for itself, aided by Garage Kept Motors, aka the vendor.

Finished in Rapid Red and fitted with the optional Carbon Fiber Track Package that unlocked a few extra goodies, such as the wheels made of the lightweight material, this 2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a black leather interior.

If you look at the cockpit, you will see that it still has the delivery plastic wraps everywhere, including on the seats, dashboard, treadplates, and other components. It also retains the window stickers, so its future owner will have the pleasure of removing them. We don't need to tell you that it is also accompanied by the original books, do we?

The icing on the cake, as far as this specification of the previous-gen Ford Mustang goes, is the engine. Under the hood lies a 5.2-liter supercharged V8. The lump is extremely powerful, as it develops 760 hp (771 ps/567 kW) without any modifications. As for the torque, you are looking at 625 pound-feet (847 Nm). A stock Shelby GT500 can reach 60 mph (97 kph) in only three seconds, and with a skilled driver at the helm, it is a ten-second car down the quarter mile.

Back in 2021, a base Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 would have set you back $70,300. That excluded the destination charge and dealer markups, as well as any options, like the pricey Carbon Fiber Track Package that this copy has. This used to be an $18,500 affair two years ago, so after factoring in the obvious, This was a car that likely set its owner back in the region of $100,000.

So, how much do you think it costs? That would be $139,900, the listing reveals. Mind you, it certainly is a lot for a Mustang, even a brand-new one with an ultra-potent engine and additional goodies, but in today's crazy car market, it does not sound insane at all. Thus, if you were shopping for a Shelby GT500, could this one get your seal of approval, or would you settle for one that has more miles under its belt and costs less?
