Unfortunately, the scenarios in this movie is met very often on the roads: drivers failing to properly check the traffic, usually turning left and causing other vehicles to crash.
A lot of accidents could have been effortlessly avoided and a lot of lives spared if drivers and sometimes bike riders would have heeded the minimal road regulations. Everybody makes mistakes every now and then, but in some cases these little mistakes can cause disasters.
There are lots of vehicle operators, bikes and car drivers alike, who disregard even the most common of traffic regulations, such as the need to properly check before turning, signal your intention, slowing down in time, and only then turning. This movie is the perfect example of how tragic things can end sometimes.
The motorcycle was also speeding and it's possible that the pilot went into point fixation, failing to assess the life-saving possibility of swerving to the right and pass behind the car. However, in such situations, decisions must be made in hundredths of a second... and they're not always the best ones. Unfortunately the biker died the next day due to a broken neck.
