Bentley to Show Most Powerful Continental Ever in Geneva

There's no doubt the 2011 Geneva Auto Show that begins next week is going to be one of the most significant moments in the automotive industry this year, especially because it will witness the debut of a lot eagerly-awaited models but also new concepts for the future. Since so many already announced their goodies for the show, Bentley wanted to enter the game with its very own hot subject which, according to various media sources, remains unconfirmed for the time being.

The luxury car manufacturer hasn't confirmed it, but it appears that Bentley will show at the upcoming 2011 Geneva show the most powerful Continental ever built.

Yes, we know, we've heard this before and, to be more specific, we've heard it last year before the same Swiss event. At that time, Bentley stepped in and said that those who will attend the 2010 edition of the venue will get to see the Continental Supersports, the most powerful Continental that ever rolled off the assembly lines.

This time, TopSpeed claims that Bentley will again show a top-notch Continental at the show that could bear the name Continental Supersports GT, which would pretty much make sense, since it is going to be more powerful than the 2010 model.

Production is believed to be limited to only 100 units, with the powerplant to deliver much more power than the 621 hp in the Supersports. And, to be sure that performance figures are breathtaking, Bentley made the new car extremely lightweight, obviously by using carbon fiber all around.

autoevolution will be attending the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
