So far, Mansory has had several close encounters of the third kind with the Bentley Continental GT. Most of the time, the result was not that bad at all for something that bears the controversial tuner's signature, and the latest one is certainly on the appealing side, as long as you're not a purist.
The tuner has refrained from releasing any details about it in the social media post that puts the spotlight on this project, as they only talked about the wheels. Sporting a disc design, they're part of their FD.15 series and suit a variety of other models, including the Bentley Bentayga and Flying Spur, Rolls-Royce Ghost, Wraith, Dawn, Cullinan, Lamborghini Urus, and several Mercedes, Audi, and Land Rover cars.
Making out the exact version of the Bentley Continental GT is tricky, though we lean towards the Speed. The luxury grand tourer has received a few add-ons up front, like those surrounding the side vents and a chunkier apron. The grille is also new, and so is the hood, which features a vented styling. The side trim was revised, and the mirror caps have a partial carbon look. The back end is defined by a pair of spoilers, a wing, and a new diffuser. The car has four exhaust tips, new emblems, and a light blue hue that makes it worthy of being displayed in the window of a candy shop.
This is the part where we'd normally talk you through the interior, telling you how Mansory has overdone it again by reupholstering nearly everything in new leather with a very lively look. Their work normally includes giving their projects numerous Mansory logos on the seats, headrests, center console, steering wheel, and even on the seatbelts, and rounding off the makeover with the occasional starlight headliner, regardless if it is a Rolls-Royce or not. But in this case, they haven't released any images of the cockpit. Zooming on certain pics reveals that the cabin of this Continental GT has a black look, and we are glad they haven't messed around with it.
If we are not wrong and this is indeed a Bentley Continental GT Speed, then we're looking at a punchier variant of the 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12. The engine develops 650 brake horsepower and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, enabling the car to hit 60 mph (97 kph) in just 3.5 seconds from zero and a top speed of 208 mph or 335 kph. That's pretty much previous generation supercar realm in a vehicle developed to be an intercontinental cruiser. The Continental GT Speed premiered almost two years ago and features additional upgrades that make it worthy of its USA MSRP, which is estimated at around $275,000.
