It might have something to do with the death of Maybach or with the recovery of global economy, but Bentley’s sales have already gone up significantly from last year’s figures, that were already decent. In the first two months of 2012 the British brand delivered 894 cars, an impressive 47 percent more than in the same period of 2011.
Demand from the US and China was strong as usual, and Bentley says the two nations going head-to-head to become Bentley’s number one global market in 2012 with China in front at the very start of the year with 324 cars delivered (+66%) whilst US deliveries were up 29% (251 cars) over the same period.
Bentley’s Chairman and Chief Executive, Wolfgang Durheimer, said: “This is an excellent start to the new year for Bentley. We are maintaining the momentum from last year which clearly reflects the strong confidence customers have in our brand and in our new products worldwide.”
And the future looks bright for them, as the new V8 Continental GT is being described as being the car they should have built all along.
