There are few century-long rivalries between companies on this Earth, and that makes each of these competing duos very special. In the motorcycle world, for instance, there's nothing better than to watch Harley-Davidson and Indian go at it with new product launches.
As the only two American bike companies to have survived the Great Depression and still be alive and kicking today, Harley and Indian play pretty much the same game, with mixed results. There is one area of their industry though that is clearly dominated by the Milwaukee-based company: custom motorcycles.

For one reason or another, although there are plenty of Indian-based customs to take into account, Harley is so appealing to customers and custom crews alike that the number of projects based on its bikes far outpaces Indian's.

Strangely enough though all of that makes builds based on Scouts, Chiefs, or Challengers even more appealing. Just look at this modded Scout and honestly say this isn't what you needed to wash the overwhelming Harley taste away…

The bike is called in this extreme form Bad, and it was put together by Spanish garage Lord Drake. It's a crew that has made a name for itself in modifying Harleys, and that makes this special project of theirs even more appealing.

The bike is now called Bad and yes, that's a reference to Michael Jackson. Unlike its stock self, which looks bulky with the massive fenders, the many covers, and the fat tire wheels, this one is so sleek you'll be inclined for a second to mistake it for anything but a Scout.

Remade in bobber style, the bike sits on the ground thanks to a set beautifully crafted of wheels of undisclosed origin and size, with the one at the back wrapped in a 240 mm wide tire. Ohlins suspension gear backs them both.

The various covers that adorned the sides of the original bike, especially the ones connecting the fuel tank with the rear fender, are gone, and the fenders themselves are much smaller in size and scope. A hanging seat can be seen behind the fuel tank, while a mini-ape handlebar hangs above it.

The engine of the Scout originally fitted in there by Indian is still in place, but it now breathes through an HP Corse exhaust system. New turn signals, LED headlight, grips, footrests, and a handcrafted license plate holder complete the look of the bike.

I said earlier the bike is a sort of tribute to Michael Jackson, and that's more than obvious when the eyes fall on the MJ lettering on the rear fender, and Bad branding elsewhere.

The Indian Scout Bad is an older Lord Drake project, and we have no info on its current whereabouts or on its price.
