Azimut is a name that has come to be associated with luxury, innovation, performance and Italian excellence. True to its reputation, the Viareggio, Italy-based shipbuilder has revealed a new visionary design in the form of the Grande 44M, a luxury yacht that aims to challenge the status quo in the yachting industry and redefine the way people view and operate recreational watercraft.
At 144 feet (44 meters) long, the Grande 44M is the largest Azimut yacht yet and replaces the 125-foot (38-meter) Azimut Tricdeck as the flagship of the brand's fleet. Initial renderings of the vessel were revealed last week at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, and they showcase an imposing luxury yacht with an innovative four-deck design that combines the yard's technological prowess and commitment to environmental sustainability.

The vessel's sleek exterior design, featuring bold lines flowing from bow to stern, was penned by world-renowned Alberto Mancini, while the interior is the work of Milan-based m2atelier studio.

The new entrant in the Grande lineup is designed to show the yard's commitment to eco-yachting. Apart from the unique four-deck configuration, the Grande 44M stands out with its eco-friendly credentials, which show the yard's commitment to eco-yachting. It will be built of fiberglass and blends a sporty appearance with cutting-edge technological solutions for a reduced environmental impact. These solutions include optimized hull lines, the Hull Vane foil technology, the Mild Hybrid Plus Zero Emission Hotel Mode system, and a highly efficient propulsion system powered by twin MAN engines of 1550 or 1800 hp each.

What's more, the new vessel is part of the yard's family of Low Emission Yachts, meaning it should offer a reduction of between 20 and 30% in emissions compared to more traditional naval architectures of the same size.

One of the highlights of the new flagship is the upper deck, a convertible space that can be configured as an exclusive owner's deck with two master suites and a versatile forward glass-enclosed area that can be used as an office, a media lounge for guests, or a dining room. With an expansive area of 50 square meters (538 square feet) that takes advantage of the 8.6-meter (28.2-foot) beam, this deck offers breathtaking, unobstructed views of the surrounding ocean both forward and aft. This is possible due to the fact that the helm station has been moved to the fourth deck.

In total, the Grande 44 M's layout can have five or six cabins for the owner and their guests, plus five crew cabins.

Another impressive feature is the twelve-person dining area on the aft cockpit, located just above the infinity pool on the main deck and in front of a large, transparent window, creating a mesmerizing "sea-through” optical illusion.

Towards the stern, the yacht's four decks are tiered, creating generous open-air spaces and facilitating a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces. With large windows and sliding glass doors, guests will be able to enjoy the views from any point and truly connect with the ocean.

All these features ensure the yacht will provide an improved onboard lifestyle, taking the yachting experience to new heights. With a generous volume of 499 GT, the superyacht has enough space for both social and private areas, ensuring the guests' needs for entertainment, socialization, and relaxation are well catered for.

The official launch of the new four-deck Grande 44M yacht is scheduled for the autumn of 2026. Order books are already open, and according to Azimut CEO, Marco Valle, five hulls have already been spoken for.
