Philippe Briand, the creative force behind London-based design studio Vitruvius Yachts, is arguably the most prolific yacht designer of our time, with over 12,000 of his boat designs in the water. The award-winning yacht designer and naval architect, nicknamed the Silicon Valley of sailing, has designed wonderful sailing and motor yachts for the most important yards in the world, and he has now shared renderings for a new superyacht concept specifically tailored for the US market.
The 151-foot (46-meter) project is known as the Vitruvius Palm Beach and is available for sale with Worth Avenue Yachts. Broker Kevin Ralph explains that the superyacht addresses the needs of discerning American clients, being designed with a low draft of two meters (6.5 feet), a sub-500 GT volume, and a cruising range of over 4,000 nautical miles. This makes it best suited for shoal draft locations such as the Bahamas, Florida, and The Chesapeake, as well as global and/or coastal cruising.

Just like most of Phillipe Briand's designs, the Vitruvius Palm Beach concept is designed with exquisite craftsmanship and promises to deliver an unparalleled cruising experience for an age where high-quality, exceptional performance and innovative, sustainable designs are greatly appreciated.

The new superyacht is at once classic and contemporary in terms of exterior design, boasting an elegant and sophisticated appearance characterized by sleek, uninterrupted lines and a streamlined, imposing profile.

In terms of layout, the project is said to include five lower staterooms for the owner and guests, plus quarters for nine crew members. The owner would benefit from a spacious, full-beam master suite with an office, a walk-in wardrobe, his and hers bathrooms, and a private fold-down balcony. The four remaining guest staterooms are located midships on the lower deck, and each features an ensuite bathroom.

A large main salon with full-height windows for stunning views of the ocean and a convertible lounging and dining area are also part of the design for guests' socializing needs.

On the main deck, guests will also find a formal bar and another convertible seating area aft. The sundeck, meanwhile, is also designed for social activities, with a large sunbathing area, a bar, a barbecue, and a Jacuzzi.

An expansive 1,280 square-foot (119.5 square-meter) aft deck and beach club area is fitted with a large pool and provides direct access to the water, with bulwarks on either side creating a generous lounging and sunbathing area.

The interior designer for the Vitruvius Palm Beach yacht is not yet confirmed, but the final interior configuration and décor will certainly depend on what the customer wants, as Briand is known for his collaborative approach to design, allowing owners to be involved at every stage. The unveiled renderings showcase an elegant, contemporary aesthetic, and Vitruvius Yachts is known for its eco-friendly approach to design, guiding clients on the use of recycled and/or recyclable materials.

The yacht concept is also envisioned with a tender garage for a 20-foot (six-meter) tender and two jet skis. It will feature a Solas-compliant sliding beam crane and fold-up shell door for launching and loading.

Coming from the drawing boards of one of the world’s best-known yacht designers, Vitruvius Palm Beach is more than a concept; it's a fully engineered project ready to be built for a discerning owner. According to the broker, several world-renowned shipyards are already bidding to bring this vision to life, and construction is expected to begin next year.
