Benetti, one of the oldest Italian manufacturers of luxury yachts, is a name that has come to be associated with quality, excellence, and innovation. Throughout its 150-year history, the shipyard has accrued the knowledge and expertise to deliver designs that can meet the needs and preferences of the most demanding owners.
The yard is now expanding its portfolio with another elegant and innovative fully-custom superyacht, the 220-foot (67-meter) Lady A. Formerly known as Project Rinascimento, the opulent 1,250 GT superyacht was built in Livorno and delivered to its millionaire owner, who is believed to be Saudi businessman Yasir bin Othman Al-Rumayyan, in October 2023.

The design for this state-of-the-art yacht comes from the drawing boards of world-renowned Giorgio M. Cassetta, with naval architecture by the Italian yard, and construction began in 2021. Built with a robust steel hull and lightweight aluminum superstructure, the vessel takes design cues from the award-winning Metis, a 206-foot (63-meter) superyacht delivered by Benetti and Cassetta in 2018, and embodies all the qualities of a luxury yacht: quality, innovation, and exclusiveness.

Lady A is one of those yachts that have the ability to instantly captivate onlookers with its timeless aesthetic defined by sleek, uninterrupted horizontal lines, a sharp vertical bow, and a streamlined linear hull. All these elements contribute to an imposing presence on the water. The classic, high-design feel is accentuated by the use of teak throughout all of its six decks.

The interior, designed in-house by Benetti, is characterized by sophistication, unmatched luxury, and refinement. It was purposefully and meticulously crafted to engage the guests' senses with a balanced mix of luxurious materials, such as rich Curly Maple in a soft color similar to natural silk, black Macassar Ebony wood, Carrara White, and black Saint Laurent marbles. Combined with lush furnishings and high-design finishes, they create a space that envelops those onboard in unparalleled comfort and luxury.

Lady A's beam of around 36 feet (10.8 meters) allows for commodious interior spaces, and the generous layout can accommodate up to 14 guests across seven elegant staterooms with sumptuous furnishings and advanced entertainment systems. A crew of 19 will cater to their every need.

As on any modern luxury superyacht, the owner benefits from an entire private deck. The upper deck is the one that houses the owner's dedicated sanctuary of relaxation, which includes a full-beam master suite, a private study, and ensuite bathrooms.

The main deck, meanwhile, houses an elegant salon, two VIP cabins, the galley, and a pantry, while the lower deck is occupied by four guest cabins and the crew quarters. An elevator connects all the decks, allowing those onboard easy access to any level.

When it comes to the social areas, the custom superyacht is designed to "maximize enjoyment on board." From this standpoint, one of the highlights of the design is the conversion of the bridge deck into a dedicated "party deck," configured with several al-fresco areas with lounge seating and a large bar.

An expansive beach club aft of the lower deck is a space for relaxation with a Hammam, bath, and shower. Up top, the sundeck is fitted with a Jacuzzi and plenty of sun pads.

In terms of performance, the new Lady A superyacht comes equipped with twin Caterpillar engines delivering in excess of 1,800 horses. The vessel is estimated to have a top speed of 16 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots, and a 5,000-nautical-mile range.
