Just as predicted on Friday, Audi’s BiTurbo TDI V6 engine did go into a Q5 that made its debut at the Le Mans race in France. It’s called the SQ5 and it’s got the expected 313 horsepower output combined with decent economy figures and the promise of less turbo lag.
Due to the fact that the V6 TDI packs a massive amount of torque, 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of it between 1,450 and 2,800rpm, the sports SUV will reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 5.1 seconds and will do an electronically limited 155 mph (250 km/h).

If that, and the massive 20-inch alloy wheels, don’t impress you, than the fact that it will average 7.2 liters/100 km (33 mpg US, 39.2 mpg UK) should.

Pricing in Europe starts at €58,500, while in Britain the SQ5 costs £45,000. No US availability has been announced and looks a bit unlikely to make it across the pond.
