Audi A3 Cabrio Restyled by Hofele

German tuning house Hofele planned to make the Audi A3 cabriolet a bit more attractive than the guys over at Audi did and added a couple of tweaks to the exterior of the car. Unfortunately, there's no power increase available so what we have here is only a change of look for Audi's A3 model.

Specifically, the German tuners installed a single frame front bumper that contributes to the overall sporty stance on the road. Large air intakes are now integrated into the bumper but, compared to models on which they were supposed to cool the engine and thus improve the overall performance figures, they are now exclusively aimed at improving the appearance.

According to worldcarfans.com, the bumper also features a fog light kit that is available as an option and can be ordered separately. One of the first things you'll notice when looking at the modified car is surely the new front grille, somehow similar to the one seen on the S3 and painted in black and silver.

At the rear, the car comes with a new rear apron which, according to the aforementioned source, can be simply mounted over the existing one without too many difficulties.

Audi A3 is currently offered with a wide array of engine configurations, including both petrol and diesel. The top of the range option is the 2.0-liter TFSI unit that generates 200 horsepower and 206.5 lb-ft of torque between 1,70 and 5,000 rpm. This allows the car sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 7 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 147.9 mph (238 km/h).
