The Ariel Atom is a car one can simply not hate, as it represents the epitome of the light-weight sports car, taken to the extreme. It is also a nod in favour of efficiency, as since it is so light, its engines don’t have to work at all hard to propel it along.
However, if you want even more power out of your Atom, South Carolina-based tuner, DDMWorks will swap the engine out of your car and replace it with a 2.0-liter Ford engine, which they have both supercharged and turbocharged.

The result? An astonishing 350 hp/per liter, or 700 horses in total. This output is truly a great achievement which should be applauded and given as an example of just what can be done with a small displacement engine and modern force-feeding techniques.

No word on performance, but 700 hp in a car that weighs around 620 kilos (1360 lbs) equates to around 1130 hp per ton - that is F1 territory and something which will most likely frighten as well as delight its future owners.
