Aprilia RS4 125 for the Superbike Champ in You

There is no better way to get the attention of young riders and aspiring racers, than to give them a bike whose power and engine class is suitable for their lack of experience, while packing a similar design and technologies to those taken from the track.

That is what Aprilia underlines in its new official video for the Aprilia RS4 125 bike, a bike that is likely to conquer the hearts of the 16-year-old bikers-to-be (and the wallets of their parents, for that matter).

But does the price even matter when you have so much to take advantage of from a 125cc sportbike? After you’ll see the video below, financial aspects could dethroned by the emotional ones.

Replacing the RS125, the new four-stroke 125cc beginner bike may only have 15 hp up its sleeve, but it has been styled to look like the RSV4, a bike that has conquered two world titles in the 2010 Superbike season. Take the triple headlights and sharp sculpted tail for example.

Superbike-inspired analogue/digital clocks and race-inspired underslung exhaust integrated into the lower fairing, are also meant to swap the young riders off their feet. Moreover, thanks to a quick-swap pillion seat cover, the RS4 easily transforms into a sporty single-seater.

In fact, the RS4 125 is the first Aprilia sport bike in this engine class with a four-stroke engine, which is praised by the Italian manufacturer as “the most advanced in the class and makes the maximum power permitted for a learner.”

Add an aluminum chassis designed directly from the 125cc MotoGP track and you might hit the perfect recipe for a best-seller. However, if you feel like it needs more salt, Aprilia also announced it has made the quickshifter option available, allowing for split-second clutchless upshifting.
