Ford of Britain has released the first photos of the all-new Transit Courier van ahead of the model's global debut at the Birmingham CV Show. The smallest and cheapest Transit is show here in RHD configuration -and looks quite similar to the new Fiesta, with a large gaping grille and tweaked headlights.
Designed to take a standard Euro pallet with ease, the Transit Courier is still very small, at just 4.16 meters long. It will be available with highly-efficient diesel and petrol engines that target best-in-class fuel economy, and offer Auto-Start-Stop on all units. Customers can choose between the UK-built 1.5-liter 75PS and 1.6-liter 95PS Duratorq TDCi diesel engines, and the remarkable 1.0-liter 100PS EcoBoost petrol engine, the “International Engine of the Year” 2012 fitted to the Fiesta and Focus.

“Ford has now completely transformed its commercial vehicle line-up, with four all-new, class-leading Transits for European customers,” said Barb Samardzich, vice president, Product Development, Ford of Europe. “With the all-new Transit range, we expect sales to grow to 400,000 units per year by 2016, well over 50 per cent more than we sell today.”

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
