After a long time dwelling around with just two model series – the Giulia sedan and Stelvio premium crossover SUV – Alfa Romeo finally started expanding the roster last year.
The company received permission from its parent, Stellantis, to thoroughly refresh both the Giulia four-door and Stelvio CUV, allowing them another lease of life until they have the research and development ready for the next iterations. They also introduced the Tonale compact crossover SUV, the first new model in many years (six, to be more precise), and the first-ever Alfa Romeo with hybrid powertrains.

The Dodge Hornet cousin seconds it, and both can be equipped with an optional plug-in hybrid system in addition to the mild hybrid system used for the 1.5-liter Firefly turbo. However, that was not all. Instead, Stellantis finally allowed Alfa Romeo a proper halo car – the revival of the iconic 33 sports car as the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a proper supercar with either the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 from the Quadrifoglio or a tri-motor all-electric option.

Naturally, Alfa Romeo fans probably hope this is not the end, and the Italian automaker won't need another half a decade before introducing another new model. The rumor mill is hopeful, too, and the reports actively discuss all kinds of possibilities, including the potential revival of the Giulietta compact hatchback.

However, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators might feel like the compact sector is a little crowded, so they are attempting to find alternative solutions. For example, Kleber Silva, a Brazil-based virtual artist known as KDesign AG on social media, has decided to have a CGI go at imagining the next Alfa - an EV! But before you jump, saying Giulia Quadrifoglio EV to rival the Tesla Model S Plaid, the pixel master chose a much simpler solution.

Stellantis owns no less than 14 brands and has a vast array of subcompact crossover SUVs with ICE and EV power under the hood. Think about the Peugeot 2008, Opel Mokka, DS 3 Crossback, as well as the all-new Fiat 600e and Jeep Avenger. They all share a common trait – you can have them with classic gasoline or diesel power but also with an advanced 154-hp and 54-kWh EV powertrain. Obviously, where there are five, there is also room for a sixth.

As such, the pixel master decided to "explore the electric future of Alfa Romeo with a concept based" on the Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600e. Using the latter as the base of initial CGI operations, the author then overlayed "modern touches and elements from the latest Alfa models to create an electrically dynamic (sub)compact SUV." With Alfa Romeo's signature styling and the shared EV powertrain from the 2008, Mokka, DS 3 Crossback, Avenger, and 600e, this subcompact EV SUV would be a no-brainer – at least in imagination land.
