There’s a lot of instability at Alfa Romeo, or so it would seem from the outside, considering the fact that not even the rumors which are spreading around are consistent. Now, according to, Sergio Marchionne, CEO of the Fiat-Chrysler group, will be announcing a comprehensive plant for the upcoming Alfa Romeo models, at the end of October.
Back in 2011, Sergio Marchionne stated that Alfa Romeo would make its US comeback some time in 2013, yet no real confirmation on the matter has been received since. They could be waiting for 2013, in order to complete work on the Jeep-based crossover which should be a big hit.

Another rumor floating around is that VW is again interested in acquiring Alfa Romeo, despite the fact that the German giant was reportedly making no more purchases. We do, however, hope that the Giulia project is not affected by all this instability and that it is on its way, with a rear-wheel driven chassis (or not).
