AirTrailer is one of the nicest motorcycle trailers we came across in quite a long time, and its almost foolproof design is what makes it so cool. We could spend nights in a row watching all the videos on YouTube with guys failing to load bikes on trailers and in pickups, but with AirTrailer, these days are over.
One of the biggest problems when loading the bike is going up the ramp. Some riders fear the slope, others miss the ramp altogether, many don't throttle enough and fall off the ramp, and we're even seen guys smashing through the pickup's rear window as they throttle way too much.
Since the ramp seems to be the big problem, the inventors of the AirTrailer found away to get rid of the ramp. Using a pneumatic suspension element, the whole trailer lowers to the ground so loading your bike on it is as easy as riding into your driveway.
As the front wheel reaches the securing element, a special clamp closes in and catches the wheel. All you have to do is strap the bike, use your car compressor to raise the trailer to cruising height and there you go. It just doesn't get any easier than this.
Since the AirTrailer only sells in Europe so far and the price is not exactly dirt cheap, we're sure there will still be plenty of silly and funny videos on YouTube showing guys wrecking their bikes up the infamous ramps.
AirTrailer retails for €2,541 ($3,312) or €3,388 ($4,417) in its single- or dual-bike version, and options such as coupled braking are also available. Sweet indeed!
