Artificial intelligence is at the core of many debates these days – although it's (probably) not yet a cause for concern about Sci-Fi extinction-level events. However, many of the world's creatives fear it.
Remember the recently concluded Hollywood screenwriter and actor strikes? Those ended with unprecedented deals that not only helped artists get better payment but also protected them from potential AI harm for the foreseeable future.

Alas, some authors don't think the assistance provided by AI is malevolent, at least for now. Many of them are part of the rumor mill's niche of the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. They knowingly use AI software to work better, faster and ultimately free themselves from additional creativity time.

Of course, there is no need to take our word for granted. Instead, let us give you one of many examples. Meet Cole Kessel, a virtual artist better known as colekessel_, who uses AI as his "creative outlet" and, luckily for us, loves to play with automotive stuff over and over again.

Some of his latest creations include a Bugatti 'Napon' EV ultra-performance sedan and a Bentley racer, but also Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, and Porsche ideas. We can easily see that German automakers are a big part of his creative mindset, and this time, we will focus on the latter brand due to the author's outrageous AI-assisted ideas.

His Porsche design projects include the ideations of the Porsche 911 EV, 911 restomods, and SUVs – nothing really out of the ordinary, frankly. Even the mobility pods are nothing that others haven't tried before, after all. No worries, we have embedded some additional Porsche craziness from the pixel master's portfolio for our guilty CGI viewing pleasure. And that includes the 'Gotham City' AI exploration created with a vintage Porsche Turbo and some assistance from "Midjourney and Photoshop's generative AI fill."

But the main reason why we gathered around to discuss this artist's ideas is focused on his desire to revive the VW-Porsche 914 mid-engined sports car made in collaboration by VW and Porsche between 1969 and 1976 as a fully-electric pickup truck! Yep, his reborn 2027 Porsche 914 now comes as a quirky EV pickup truck that would probably go up against the GMC Hummer EV, Rivian R1T, Ford F-150 Lightning, Chevy Silverado EV, GMC Sierra EV, Ram 1500 REV, and – of course – the mind-blowing Tesla Cybertruck if ever real.

Luckily for Porsche purists in general and 914 fans in particular, this is all wishful thinking – again created with Midjourney and Photoshop's generative AI fill. Alas, how would you feel if Porsche tried one more time to break conventions and started deliveries of something like this equipped with the Taycan powertrains or the setup coming out for the Macan EV and Cayenne EV? Do you think it could become successful?
