The North American luxury division of Honda announced a safety recall involving no less than 8,709 Acura MDX crossovers belonging to the 2012 model year, together with the Pilot that’s built on the same platform.
The problem lies with a valve case in the fuel tank which may cause potential fires due to a design flaw. This may cause the fuel to leak from the tank, in turn increasing the risk of a fire.

Owners of the affected vehicles can contact their local dealers to have the part replaced free of charge. To find out if your car is affected, contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 1-888-327-4236 (reference recall campaign number 12V063000) or Acura/Honda at 1-800-999-1009.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
