Actor Matt Dillon Might Go to Jail

New Year seem to have caught Hollywood celebs in a hurry and not just in a regular hurry but actually hasty driving.

One day before New Year's Eve, police arrested Hollywood actor Matt Dillon for having exceeded the speed limit on a Vermont interstate highway, Reuters reported.

The star of “Crash” was driving a rented 2009 Chevrolet Impala at high speed (106 miles per hour) at about 10 p.m. on Tuesday in the town of Newbury when he was caught on a police radar.

Because such an incident couldn't just be ignored, there has also been set a Court date for the 44-year-old actor. He must appear in Vermont's Orange County Court on January 21.

If the sentence says “Convicted”, he could spend about three months in jail and pay $300 ticket. But, for his own good, let's just hope he only gets the fine!

When he was in high school, Dillon didn't seem to have enjoyed studying too much since he was always skipping classes. He started his acting career in 1979 when casting director Vic Ramos went to Dillon's school and found him on the halls.

The New-Work actor made his film debut in the violent teen drama “Over the Edge”. Other movies followed: “Little Darlings”, “My Bodyguard”, “Tex”, “The Outsiders” “Rumble Fish” or “Crash”.

In 2002, he wrote and directed the film “City of Ghosts”, starring himself and Gerrard Depardieu. Two years later, he was awarded with Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe and was nominated for Oscar for his role in “Crash”.

The guy was successful indeed. Can we blame him for he enjoys pressing the gas pedal?!
