Danica Patrick Gets Speeding Ticket Once Again

Racing drivers should learn that roads are not race tracks. This is exactly what cops are trying to teach Danica Patrick who has exceeded speed limit once again, TMZ reported.

Since no one escapes the rule of law, Danica was caught by the traffic police Scottsdale, Ariz. for driving at 54 mph in a 35 zone meaning 19 mph over the speed limit at the beginning of December. That establishes a new road record for her as the last time she was busted by the cops she was going 57 in a 40 area, so only 17 over the legal speed.

As she has the speeding in her blood as any other racing driver, the citation she received isn't likely to put the brakes on her driving style. Yet, she must race to court at the beginning of next year. Hope she won't get another speeding ticket on the way there...

For outsiders in the racing zone, 26-year-old Danica Patrick is an American auto racing driver who's currently competing in the IndyCar Series. Actually, with her win in the 2008 Indy Japan 300, Danica became the first woman to win an Indy Car race.

A controversial figure, she's often promoted in mainstream and motor sport media and therefore, she was criticized for gaining significant media attention although she had not won a race in three years of IRL competition.

Besides racing, Danica has hosted several TV shows on Spike TV, namely the “Powerblock”, and she was also in the cast of the 2005 documentary “Girl Racers”.

Despite her young age, she must consider herself a world legend since she has already published her autobiography “Danica: Crossing the line” which seems to have been way too soon for her current portfolio.

So, what's next? A book about getting speeding tickets?!
