Simplicity is truly an art when it comes to tiny home configurations. Ingenious designers and builders have proven time and time again that the challenges of a small space can be overcome with outstanding results. Delilah is a mid-size tiny home where versatility rules, proving that simplicity is ultimately the smartest route.
While many builders only offer pre-defined designs with light customization, Alphaline is all about turning its standard models into each customer's dream home. This Australian brand also comes with the huge advantage of a background in traditional construction. Alphaline Tiny Homes was born as a subsidiary of Alphaline Homes, a custom home builder with more than three decades of experience.

The parent company, based in Brendale, Queensland, is also a family-owned and operated business. Folks at Alphaline understand the needs of their customers when it comes to family homes and are ready to listen to them and make the necessary adjustments. They build their tiny homes in a modern factory in Brendale, which includes a fascinating Color and Design Studio.

The Delilah 6000 is one of the brand's mid-sized models, which makes it particularly attractive. Neither too big nor too small, this perfectly balanced design fits the needs of most customers, from single owners to families. Delilah is 6 meters long (19.6 feet), 2.4 meters wide (7.8 feet), and can accommodate up to four people.

Delilah's main bedroom is a medium-sized loft. It's big enough to fit in a large bed, with generous walk-around space. Two windows are included on each size for proper air circulation, while a couple of modern light fixtures keep the room well-lit without taking up extra space.

As for access, the standard design includes a basic ladder, but customers can choose to have a classic staircase instead. This alternative is more comfortable and comes with the benefit of extra storage, but it also leaves less room for the kitchen and living room.

At one end, Delilah boasts a generous room that can have multiple functions. It's the main feature that makes it particularly versatile. This spacious area can be configured as a cozy living room with or without a small dining spot, a main-floor bedroom, or even a home office. As a living room, it can fit a large sofa along the end wall, with beautiful views all around and a wall-mounted TV.

A folding table quickly turns into a practical breakfast bar, sitting in front of a large window with two bar stools. It's located right between the kitchen and the living room, so it's conveniently close to both rooms. When not in use, this breakfast bar can simply be folded away, which makes it seem almost invisible. This simple solution saves a lot of kitchen space.

Simple yet modern, the kitchen comes with a small stove, an oven, and a full-size fridge. Overhead cabinets and even a large pantry offer generous storage. The high-quality countertops and gas cooktop are part of the builder's standard inclusions, together with the full-size shower in the bathroom and premium wall and ceiling insulation.

The bathroom sticks to a standard configuration. It's discretely located at the end of the house, behind a white sliding door that blends in with the walls. It only has room for the basics, but it's the quality of the equipment that matters most – although compact, this bathroom reflects the high quality that defines the entire build.

This harmonious tiny doesn't claim to break the norm with unprecedented features or a futuristic look. It's the kind of home on wheels that everyone loves due to its classic layout and traditional comfort. Still, its high degree of flexibility makes it truly modern.

Along with the freedom to travel and move to different locations, Delilah offers better flexibility for a modern lifestyle. Owners can turn their living room into a second bedroom if they need to or use it as a home office. They can enjoy Delilah as the perfect residential heaven or use it as a vacation rental without the need for extra modifications.

Similarly, Delilah's loft is spacious enough to be adapted for multiple purposes. If future owners prefer to have a main-floor bedroom, they can use the loft for storing larger items or as a playroom for children. With its apparently simple layout and spacious rooms, this mid-sized tiny is easily adaptable to different scenarios.

Like most tiny homes these days, Delilah can become greener and be adapted for living off the grid, with optional features such as solar panels, a composting toilet, and a battery package. Other available upgrades include a washer-dryer unit, a reverse-cycle split air conditioning system, and a loft skylight.

On the outside, Delilah can also be fitted with a large deck. Like all Alphaline Tiny Homes, it comes on a premium trailer with a Duragal frame and electric brakes. The average construction time is about two to three months, and the total cost, including delivery, comes down to about AUD 89,900 ($57,000).
