By now, anybody who's spent enough time on the internet is familiar with the "mom reacting to 500+ HP" videos and this even includes those who are not necessarily into cars. And yet these clips never seem to get old, as the most recent one proves.
The video is built around a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, one whose owner decided the 650-pony factory output is not enough. After having offered his car a few serious gym visits (more on that below), the guy, who uses the ZL1 Tommy nickname, decided to test the newfound potential of the muscle car by giving his mother a shotgun ride.
The fun times kicked off right from the vehicle ingress moment, as the 75-year-old lady discovered muscle cars aren't what they used to be, at least in terms of the ground clearance.
In an interesting grip happening, the supercharged Camaro loses the rear end for a few moments and this is where we can see the mom's high-octane riding experience, as she marks the moment for the camera.
In case this Camaro seems familiar, it's probably because we've recently talked about the Chevy. We're dealing with one of the first seriously tuned 2017 ZL1s in the country (its muscle factor seems to have grown further meanwhile).
According to the owner, the 6.2-liter monster under the hood now delivers 770 hp and 792 lb-ft, with these being the figures at the wheels, which is why we threw in the crank hp approximation in the title above.
And with such cars often changing their specs from one year to another, we might just hear from Tommy's ZL1 again in 2017.
P.S.: Feel free to deliver your own videos of the sort, but do keep in mind that such a piece of action should involve quite a lot of safety measures, some of which may or may not have been followed here.
