The aftermarket side of the industry has a phenomenal thirst for the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, with the freshest example of this being delivered by the lowered muscle car in the images we have here.
The slammed ZL1 comes from Phastek Performance, which probably delivers the first example of such an asphalt-hugging development, offering us the images via Camaro6.
"A little background on the car. The car has 920 miles on it, owner wanted to close the gap a bit on the front wheels but did not want to slam the car to the ground. Still wanted to be able to get in and out of the driveway with out any issues," the Texan developer explains.
The aftermarket specialist also offers us the wheel gap, measurements, from the ground to the top of the fender (note that, due to uneven surface acting on the suspension, the left- and right-side values are slightly different).
You'll find the measurements in the screenshot that accompanies the photos to your right -when comparing the values for the two axles, note that the new ZL1's front tires are half an inch shorter in diameter compared to those or the rear tires.
Since the 650 hp Camaro can be gifted with a Magnetic Ride suspension, the forum talk is split between those who expect the lowering process to affect the way in which the dampers function, thus avoiding to mix the lowering springs seen here with the said feature and those who are just concerned with the new look of the machine.
