When the owner of a modded Ford Mustang decided to nickname the car "Devil's Reject", you know something serious is happening. In fact, the pony we have here was uber-serious to begin with, since the muscle car started out in life as a 2013 Mustang Shelby GT500.
However, this blue monster has left its factory state far, far behind. In fact, the toy has gone from being an 11s car to delivering (are you ready for it?) six-second quarter-mile passes.

In fact, the machine recently visited the 23rd Annual Haltech World Cup Finals - Import vs Domestic event, where it managed to deliver stunning performance.

To be more precise, the 'Stang pulled a 6.66-second quarter-mile run at 210 mph, while competing in the x275 vs. Hot Rod class (it belongs to the first category).

In fact, last fall, this Ford was the world's quickest (think: acceleration) and fastest (top speed) GT500 in the 1,320 feet category, thanks to a 6.78s 1/4-mile run at 206 mph.

"Is the thing still street-legal?" we hear you asking? Well, the answer is no. In fact, an important part of the work done to the car involves the chassis.

As for the contents of the engine compartment, the V8 heart of the car has been gifted with a 94mm Precision turbo. The forced induction setup now allows the engine to deliver well north of 2,000 horses, hence the approximation in the title above - the unit delivered around 2,200 hp during the said 2017 shenanigan.

Given the level of performance delivered by the muscle beast, its setup includes mods like a parachute, beadlock wheels to hold the massive racing rubber in place and others.

And you can check out the said 6.66s feat of the Mustang in the piece of footage below. As is it usually the case with such builds, the quest for even sharper quarter-mile numbers continues...
