The Kia Telluride and Hyundai Palisade are two of the most popular mid-size SUVs currently on the US automotive market, thanks to their high critique ratings, similar dimensions, and specifications.
They are both made on the same platform and share the same South Korean parent company. However, they still differ slightly because the Hyundai Palisade was first presented in late 2018, followed shortly by the Kia Telluride in early 2019. Only the latter is produced locally in the United States, while the former is built at home, in Russia, and in Vietnam.

Curiously, Kia's Telluride has managed to outsell the Hyundai Palisade every year since they were launched, with the sole exception of 2020. However, the margin is slim, and Hyundai probably thinks it can best its Kia sibling with a gentle nudge from its behalf. So, while Kia is preoccupied with making sure the all-electric EV9 counterpart has a good start on the US market, Hyundai is trying to maneuver the Palisade in a better position with the impending arrival of the second generation of the mid-size SUV.

It was late February 2024 when we first glimpsed the all-new 2025 or 2026 Hyundai Palisade thanks to our spy photographer partners, and it's clear that the all-new 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has a massive influence over the styling of its larger sibling. Expected to transition to an all-new architecture, the Palisade might keep its mighty V6 to make sure everyone understands it's slotted above the Santa Fe but will probably also welcome electrified powertrain options in the lineup.

Inside, it will sport a massive widescreen display to make sure it's continuing with the times, but we still don't know anything about its true design since the testing program is at its early stages and the SUV is clad in loads of camouflage as its premiere is probably a year or so away. Well, no worries; those who are too impatient for Hyundai's official release can always turn to the imaginative realm of digital car content creators for some potential CGIs.

Nikita Chuicko, the virtual artist better known as kelsonik on social media, thinks now is the right CGI time to play with the next Hyundai Palisade as he tries to virtually peel away the many layers of camouflage and envision what's underneath. Of course, take all of these renderings with a healthy dose of salt because nothing has been announced officially from Hyundai just yet. However, we wouldn't be surprised if the real world's Hyundai Palisade came close to this unofficial design project because this pixel master is working for various automotive publications to envision the hottest upcoming models.

So, what do you think? Does the Santa Fe influence suit the next-generation Hyundai Palisade, or is the South Korean automaker losing its touch and should try a different approach to make sure the two models don't become unlawful competitors?
