What if the 2026 Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride twins reveal their unofficial designs early? That would be a nice change of pace from the onslaught of upcoming EV apparitions, right?
While the Chinese makers and Tesla don't really feel the brunt of the EV market's slowdown, the rest of the legacy automakers are trying to figure out how to survive the sudden drop in demand. Not Hyundai and Kia, though, which are decidedly among the few still pushing hard on the battery pedal with upcoming models like the Hyundai Ioniq 7, Kia EV8 plus EV3, and EV4, supposedly all of them born on the new IMA (Integrated Modular Architecture), the successor to the E-GMP platform.

No worries, though, as the South Korean brothers are also busy taking care of the ICE-powered side of things with stuff like the upcoming Kia Tasma mid-size pickup truck or the all-new second-generation 2026 Hyundai Palisade and Kia Telluride. Late last month, the Palisade made its official spy photo debut, and the prototype sure looked boxy – just like a bigger Santa Fe should. Our spy photographer partners captured it again earlier this month, so it is no wonder that the rumor mill's sidekick – the imaginative realm of digital car content creators – has taken an interest.

More precisely, Vince Burlapp (aka vburlapp on social media or burlappcar.com) is a prolific virtual artist who loves to dream of all the latest models across the wide-ranging automotive realm, and he recently mused about the potential looks of the 2026 Hyundai Palisade and its twin from another mother, the Kia Telluride. While in the real world, the former was born first – in late 2018 – while the latter followed swiftly in 2019, the pixel master is taking them as siblings and trying to uncover their secrets simultaneously.

Alas, that doesn't mean they're the same. In fact, the CGI expert had enough time to refine the styling of the 2026 Hyundai Palisade on more than one occasion, so there's a variety of designs that you can choose from in the gallery above. They all look a lot swankier than the real world's original. Still, as always, you should definitely take all these renderings with a healthy dose of salt, as there's nothing official from Hyundai just yet, and all we have to work with are some heavily camouflaged prototypes. If we had to select one, the blue version with the massive chrome grille, LED band, and upward rear beltline would probably turn out to be our favorite.

Meanwhile, the hypothetical 2026 Kia Telluride is even more speculative because even the author admits that we have seen many spied Palisades but no shots of its group cousin. Still, the digital illustrator dares to advance the styling and proposes a couple of variants – one that's more closely related to the sister crossover SUV model from Hyundai and another that's inspired by the all-new first-ever EV9. So, which one is your favorite, if any?
