Mazda has announced the pricing and specifications of the CX-70 for the United States market less than a month after its official presentation. The crossover, which is basically a two-row version of the CX-90, comes in multiple trim levels and with several powertrains.
The lineup starts with the 3.3-Turbo Preferred, priced at $40,445. It comes with the e-Skyactiv G 3.3L turbocharged mill that develops 280 hp (284 ps/209 kW) and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque. Nevertheless, this powertrain will be available in the fall of 2024.
Specifications include the 19-inch alloys, special fender badging, black details, LED lighting units, heated side mirrors, power sunroof, 12.3-inch infotainment, 7-inch TFT display, eight-speaker audio, smartphone integration, a wireless charging pad, keyless entry, automatic climate control, heated front seats with power adjustment, and others.
Building on the entry-level, the 2025 Mazda CX-70 Turbo Premium offers improved towing capacity (up to 5,000 lbs/2,268 kg), rides on 21-inch wheels, and features a few blacked-out items. Inside, it gets a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a Bose premium audio, a Homelink rearview mirror, upgraded lighting, satellite radio, more safety gear, and over-the-air updates in return for $45,900.
Choosing the Premium Plus means having to cough out at least $48,900. This model gets Nappa leather upholstery in black or red, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, a 150-volt outlet, a panoramic sunroof, auto-dimming side mirrors, and even more safety gizmos.
The CX-70 3.3 Turbo S Premium features a 3.3-liter six-pot (inline-six), making 340 hp (345 ps/254 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm). It comes with two-tone 21-inch alloys, a few special touches on the outside, and additional gear inside, in return for $52,450. The Turbo S Premium Plus starts at $55,950, adding tan Nappa leather, suede inserts, a 150-watt outlet in the trunk, and a windshield wiper de-icer.
Next up come the PHEV (plug-in hybrid) models, which use an electrified 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine that churns out a total of 323 hp (328 ps/241 kW) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. The CX-70 PHEV has a 26-mile (42 km) electric range and can tow up to 3,500 lbs (1,588 kg) when fitted with the Genuine Towing Accessories option.
