Jeep has two fully electric models coming in to support the sustainable focus alongside the plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe – the off-road-focused Recon and the lifestyle-oriented Wagoneer S.
Although it uses the Wagoneer moniker, this Jeep probably won't be even as large as the normal Wagoneer, let alone the Grand Wagoneer. Instead, it fuses the novel EV design like the light-up grille with features seen on the ICE-powered models and then sprinkles a quick dose of fashionable coupe-SUV looks – that rear wing integrates marvelously with the overall design, and you might even forget it's got a sloping roof if you're not paying attention.

Underpinned by the upcoming STLA Large platform, this is the first Jeep on it, and the automaker promises a 600-horsepower output to make sure it can compete with the Tesla Model Y Performance at the local quarter-mile dragstrip. Unlike the latter, though, it will feature many screens inside, as even the central one has been divided into two parts if the user chooses to. Overall, there are four separate displays – instrument cluster, the big one in the center, another for climate controls, and a separate one for the passenger's side – plus a premium audio system from McIntosh.

The arrival of the Wagoneer S will represent a massive threshold for Jeep, as its success could make or break their efforts in the EV field – the Recon will be a niched offering fighting with the Rivian R1S and the like. At the same time, the Wagoneer S needs to fulfill the role of a premium alternative to the Tesla Model Y and steal customers from the Model X, too. With a zero to 60 mph (96 kph) time of 3.5 seconds and a range of up to 400 miles on a charge, it will be quick and long-trip-ready, too.

Of course, since it features Stellantis' latest EV bling, don't expect to see cheap Wagoneer S models arriving at the nationwide dealership network – estimates from independent sources believe that Jeep won't go below $80k for the base version. Interestingly, the brand has almost revealed everything there is to know about the EV, including most of its exterior and interior design. However, they didn't give us too many options – just a teaser of a dark unit, while a separate leak has also shown a dual-tone gray and black version.

No worries, though, if colors are your passion, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators has the solution – the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have imagined the CGI looks of many more shades for the upcoming all-electric Jeep Wagoneer S. The host goes through some of the known facts and figures already shared by Jeep or the rumor mill and also mixes the renderings with footage from the company showing the teased Wagoneer S and the announced STLA Large platform details.
