Peugeot has just expanded its electric vehicle portfolio in the United Kingdom with the introduction of the new e-308 SW. The Station Wagon is open for orders and comes in two trim levels, both sharing the same powertrain.
For the base Allure, customers are looking at a minimum of £41,250 ($52,439) on the road, whereas the better-equipped GT costs £2,070 ($2,631) more, at £43,320 ($55,070). This makes it a bit more expensive than the combustion-powered premium compact Audi A4 Avant, which starts at £40,775 ($51,835) locally.

Powering the Peugeot e-308 SW is a single electric motor that's fed by a 54 kWh battery pack. It generates 156 ps (154 hp/115 kW) and has a WLTP-rated range of 254 miles (409 km). The 54 kWh battery supports fast charging and can be juiced up from 20 to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes at 100 kW. The French automaker says that an 11 kW charger is included at no extra cost.

A few design tweaks set it apart from its combustion-powered sibling. The e-308 SW comes with LED headlamps with Matrix technology on the GT, has fang-shaped DRLs, a large grille decorated by the lion logo, a three-claw lighting signature at the rear, and an 'E' badge highlighting its all-quiet nature. It rides on 18-inch Ottawa alloys with a diamond-cut finish, which were developed especially for the hatch and estate versions of the company's electric compact model.

On the inside, it benefits from the i-Cockpit technology. It comes with a customizable digital instrument cluster behind the compact steering wheel, has a 10-inch central touchscreen, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and two USB-C sockets. The model offers up to 32 liters (1.1 cu-ft) of storage throughout the cockpit and 548 liters (19.4 cu-ft) behind the rear seats, which can be extended to 1,574 liters (55.6 cu-ft) when folding down the second row.

Besides introducing the e-308 SW, Peugeot has also revised the 308 lineup for the 2024 model year in the UK. The entire 308 family now comes with three instead of four trim levels, including the Active, Allure, and GT. The mid-spec comes with 17-inch wheels, ECO LED headlamps with high-beam assist, fang-like LED DRLs, and clawed LED taillights.

Inside, the Allure has tri-material dynamic front seats for enhanced comfort with lumbar adjustment on the driver's side, natural voice recognition, 3D navigation, customizable i-Toggles, and a reversing camera. The GT adds the full Matrix LED headlamps, 3D LED taillamps, a different grille, beefier side sills, and the company's emblem on the front fenders. Leather-effect and cloth upholstery can be found on the inside, alongside the eight-color ambient lighting, aluminum pedals and sills, an electrochromic frameless rearview mirror, and a 3D instrument cluster.
