It's summer, but some automakers are not yet ready to jump on the road to their vacation retreat. A good case in point is Chevrolet, as General Motors' most beloved brand just introduced the facelifted 2024 Traverse crossover SUV and also unleashed the 2024 Corvette configurator tools online.
Currently, the Build & Price tool on Chevrolet.com has a trio of model years on display – 2022 for Blazer, Suburban, and Tahoe SUVs, plus the Silverado 1500 pickup truck. Then there's the current 2023 model year for the vast majority of models, from the Bolt and Bolt EUV zero-emission vehicles to the Express cargo and passenger van.

Alas, some lucky folks can also fiddle with 2024MY options like the Trax (starting at $20,400), Equinox (MSRPs kick off at $26,600), Silverado HDs ($43,400 and $44,600 for 2500 and 3500, respectively). But, most importantly, the performance department is covered by the 2024 Corvettes. The bad news is that all prices have gone up compared to 2023, and the good is that all three variants are now up for a session of online configuration.

The 2024 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray (C8) kicks off – sans destination and other fees (which too have become more expensive) at no less than $66,300, the mighty Z06 goes out of the factory for at least $108,100, and now we also know the exact MSRP of the first-ever eAWD-equipped Corvette E-Ray, which starts at a slightly more affordable $102,900.

The great thing about the online configurator tool is that prospective buyers (even those who do a little bit of 'window shopping') can easily create their dream Corvette build and then see the exact pricing based on the selected options and packages. Chevrolet revamped the Build & Price pages, and now the CGI photos are even better at showing various angles and additional selected options.

Another essential thing to remember is that builds can be exported from the tool directly to Chevrolet dealerships so the customer's representative can be sure they have the exact configuration selected by the client ordered correctly. And, since the Corvette E-Ray is the latest version to arrive on the Chevrolet premises, and it's also summer, we will start an E-Ray Convertible configuration of our own as a reference for the photos in the gallery.

With destination included, you can select between 1LZ from $111,495, 2LZ from $116,995, and the flagship 3LZ RWD with GT2 bucket seats from $122,445. We went for the latter, dressed in Amplify Orange Tintcoat ($995), changed the wheels from the standard 20/21 Pearl Nickel to the Carbon Flash-painted carbon fiber setup for another $9,995, and then put a 'custom' Jet Black interior with Sky Cool Gray seats, Napa leather surfaces and "perforated Sueded microfiber inserts" for just $695, which also brought us a carbon fiber and suede microfiber-wrapped steering wheel.

Last but not least, the $500 ZER Performance package with Magne-Ride and Micheline Pilot Sport 4S tires is a must-have, unlike some of the many exterior or interior options. Those who love carbon fiber could add the Carbon Fiber Interior Package Level 2 for $4,995, but we decided to be a little 'restrained' and wrapped the configuration with a net price of $135,325! Well, that's not bad for some mighty 655 electrified ponies and a potential quarter-mile dragstrip time of 10.5 seconds, right?
