The order guide for the 2024 Corvette features good news and bad news. Shall we start with the latter?
First things first, the 70th Anniversary Special Edition is gone, along with the 70th Anniversary premium indoor car cover and 70th Anniversary satin black/satin gray racing stripes. When it comes to exterior paint colors, General Motors deleted three finishes in total: Caffeine, Elkhart Lake Blue, and White Pearl Tricoat.

Midnight Gray dual racing stripes have also been discontinued from the options list, along with the ultra-high security chrome wheel locks. The list of deletions further includes the Sterling Silver and Spectra Gray five-spoke trident wheels. That being said, let us look over what's new for the 2024 model year Corvette C8.

First and foremost, it's hard to ignore the addition of the E-Ray to the range. It's the first-ever production Corvette with a hybrid setup, as well as the first 'Vette with all-wheel drive due to its front-mounted electric motor. Said motor is powered by a small battery located in the central tunnel, between the seats.

It sports merely 1.9 kilowatt hours, but that's more than enough for a high-performance hybrid. On full song, the E-Ray produces 655 horsepower and 595 pound-feet (807 Nm) of torque. The small-block V8 belts out a Stingray-matching 495 ponies and 470 pound-feet (637 Nm). There's even a so-called Stealth mode, in which the Corvette E-Ray is exclusively front-wheel drive.

Revealed with much pomp in January 2023, the E-Ray is the quickest series-production Corvette ever. The sprint to 60 miles per hour (97 kilometers per hour) takes 2.5 seconds, whereas the quarter mile is dealt with in a staggering 10.5 seconds. Fully stock, of course!

Turning our attention back to the order guide, General Motors added three new exterior colors in place of the discontinued finishes: Cacti Green, Riptide Blue, and Sea Wolf Gray Tricoat. Another interesting addition is the Artemis interior with green seatbelts. A power hood pull down, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, following distance indicator, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, and lane departure warning also need to be mentioned, along with a red-painted intake manifold for the flat-plane crankshaft V8 in the Z06.

Attached below, the order guide further lists visible carbon-fiber sill plates and visible carbon fiber for the two-stanchion spoiler. The dual racing stripes are now wider and come in five new colors. Electric Blue (in combination with Carbon Flash) is exclusive to the E-Ray, whereas the Z06 and Stingray offer blue, yellow, orange, red, and silver full-length dual racing stripes.

New wheel designs for the Stingray and Z06 are featured as well, including visible carbon-fiber wheels with a red stripe for the E-Ray under RPO code STZ. As for changes over the 2023 model year Corvette, engine lighting is now available separately as a coupe-only option. The Performance Data Recorder is an option for the 1LT and 1LZ, the rear camera mirror is standard across the board, and Carbon Flash Metallic is available across the board. Finally, the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system has leveled up to Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium, which brings Google built-in compatibility.
