There sure is a lot of hype going on with the new Bronco. Sure, opinions will be divided between the real deal and the Sport model, but it's exciting to see how this car has been put together by Ford and what it has to offer. Today we're having a look at the Bronco Sport Badlands, the off-road special, and Elizabeth Jeneault will be our lovely guide for this vehicle.
The car showcase here can be found in the showroom of Davidson Ford of Clay, in Liverpool, New York. As mentioned, it comes in the Badlands variant, which Ford describes as the "Pinnacle of off-road performance, equipped for rugged terrain and off-road excitement". The Badlands is the second most expensive grade, setting you back an extra $6,000 on top of the $32,820 starting price.

The car shown in the video is fitted with the more powerful engine available, the 2.0-liter EcoBoost, which has an output of 245 horsepower at 5,500 rpm. Torque figures show 275 lb-ft (372 Nm), available from 3,000 rpm. This unit provides more grunt in comparison to the smaller 1.5-liter EcoBoost and comes as a great addition to the overall more advanced 4x4 system with a twin-clutch rear-drive unit.

In addition, the ground clearance is pretty good, at 8.8 inches (223 mm) with the off-road tires on the car, and seeing as the safari-style roof can hold up to 600 lbs (272 kg) when the car is parked, you can even camp on top of it when you're out in the wilderness. That's a neat feature indeed, especially if you're concerned about wild animals coming too close at night.

With the G.O.A.T. system on the Bronco Sport and all the given features, we're pretty convinced it might just be a fun SUV, but we'd still probably go for the normal Bronco. See what Elizabeth has to say about the baby Bronco in the following video.
