As standard, the Ford Motor Company offers the Bronco Sport with 225/65 R17 all-season tires. If you specify the aluminum wheels on the Badlands trim level, the Blue Oval sweetens the deal with 235/65 R17 all-terrain shoes. Be that as it may, there is a little room for improvement.
Coming courtesy of KG Custom, the Bronco Sport in the following Instagram post is an Outer Banks, the third specification after the Base and Big Bend. It's on the expensive side of crossovers at $32,320, excluding freight and factory options, and we haven’t even gotten to the best bits yet.

As you already know by now, the utility vehicle with Escape underpinnings flexes 245/65 R17 off-road boots. In addition to chunky tires that won’t disappoint you when the going gets rocky, the Shadow Black-painted model still features the standard shock absorbers. Yup, no lift kit here.

Not only do those tires fill out the wheel wells better, but they’re complemented by aftermarket wheels with dual valves for adjusting the pressure. The wheels are 17- by 7.5-inch units from ALPHAequipt, and the 10-spoke designed is called Foxtrot. Best of all? The rubber doesn’t rub against the wells or plastic cladding even at full steering lock.

There is, however, the elephant in the room that we must talk about. There’s no other way of saying it, so here goes: the Outer Banks comes with a 1.5-liter EcoBoost. A three-cylinder engine, that is, and it's not up to snuff.

190 pound-feet (258 Nm) of torque in a 3,467-pound (1,573-kilogram) utility vehicle is pushing it, and the Ford Motor Company doesn’t offer the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder as an option. At the time of writing, the more capable engine is exclusive to the range-topping Badlands and sold-out First Edition trims.

When all is said and done, I think we can all agree the Bronco Sport is very good as a compact crossover thanks to its standout design and G.O.A.T driving modes. Also worthy of mentioning, the Bronco Sport is not an off-roader in the same vein as the mid-size Bronco with a ladder frame.
