With Porsche continuing testing of the 2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS these days, we get plenty of occasions to feast our eyes on King Kong. And the latest adventure of the sort comes from the Neunelfer's home city.
More than one example of the Rennsport Neunelfer is currently being driven around Stuttgart and, as you could expect, the supercar spotters that reached the area didn't miss the opportunity of catching the 700 hp machine on camera.
As such, the first pice of footage below allows us to see the 991.2 GT2 RS in traffic. The sheer presence of the rear-engined machine is enough to make us weak in the knees - observe its massive aero elements and you'll understand.
Nevertheless, certain spotters have even managed to get inside the supercars. Thus, the second clip below gives us a taste of how such a ride feels from the passenger seat. Since we're talking about public roads, you shouldn't expect the throttle to be abused, but we won't complain.
We're dealing with two prototypes here - while the one filmed from outside comes in GT Silver Metallic, the onboard footage comes from a White car. Note that the latter doesn't come with the Sport Chrono Package, since the analog stopwatch isn't present on the dash.
Not too many cars will be configured this way, but, since we're talking about a test vehicle here, the lack of the said feature doesn't necessarily come as a surprise.
All the testing should stop once Zuffenhausen is ready to drop the Nurburgring lap time of the 911 GT2 RS. We've said it before, and we'll say it again - it wouldn't be odd to see rear-wheel-drive Porscha setting a new Ring production vehicle lap record.
Nevertheless, we can be certain of one thing at the moment, namely that the videos below show the tame side of a sub-7m machine.
