The Camaro is going away without a major bang, as Chevrolet will sound the death knell for it after the 2024 model year. The nameplate will eventually return to the car arena, yet it remains to be seen in what way.
Some think a new generation of the bowtie brand's muscle car is around the corner, either with partial or full electrification. Others believe the Camaro will become a sub-brand, giving birth to additional body styles, including a crossover.

Whatever happens to the nameplate is simply irrelevant to this story, which focuses on a 2018 Camaro ZL1 for sale. The range-topping member of the series is a Hellcat rival, one that boasts 650 horsepower (659 ps/485 kW). The 6.2-liter supercharged V8 kicks out 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque, working together with a six-speed manual or a ten-speed automatic gearbox. The 0-60 mph (0-97 kph) takes 3.5 seconds, and you are looking at a ten-second car on a good day and with a skilled driver holding the wheel.

This one, however, is said to be even quicker, as it has been modified by a tuner called Vector Motorsports. It features some upgraded internals, a new exhaust system with active valves to make it more sonorous, and a few other bits and bobs. The result is 665 horsepower at the wheels, which is significantly more than the stock one. In fact, it could very well pose a threat to real supercars in a straight-line battle, and we are confident it would beat most of them if the output is correct.

Finished in white and featuring a black leather and Alcantara interior with a few red accents, this Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 has the optional ten-speed automatic transmission and not the stick shift with six speeds. The ad reveals that it has a single owner in the papers and low mileage for a five-year-old car. The odo shows 7,495 miles (12,062 km), and judging by the multitude of pictures shared on Garage Kept Motors here, it is basically an almost brand-new car with no visible wear and tear.

Don't go clicking on the link just yet, as we still have to tell you how much it costs. You are looking at $64,900 to sign your name on the dotted line and drive it home, which is certainly not bad at all. Sure, the fact that it has been tuned to produce a staggering amount of power may be a drawback for certain potential buyers, but you could always inspect it in person in the presence of a trusty mechanic. By the way, a new 2024 Camaro ZL1 has a starting price of $72,100, excluding destination, fitted with the six-speed manual transmission. So, does this 2018 example sound like a good deal to you?
